About

How Missouri got here, and where we fit

JoplinCannabis.Clinic helps Southwest Missouri residents take the first step into a program that has changed a lot since 2018.

November 2018

Missouri voters approve a constitutional amendment creating the medical marijuana program.

2020–2021

Licensed dispensaries begin opening statewide, including Joplin's first in spring 2021.

December 2022

Voters approve adult-use. Patient cards move to three-year terms, and nurse practitioners can certify.

Today

Medical and adult-use run side by side, with patients keeping lower tax and higher limits.

What we do

We run a scheduling calendar for certification visits with Missouri-licensed physicians and nurse practitioners, and explain the state's process in plain language. We are not a medical practice or a dispensary, and we have no affiliation with the State of Missouri or any dispensary mentioned on this site.

Every provider is licensed and in good standing in Missouri and registered with the Department of Health and Senior Services. They decide independently whether a patient qualifies. Telemedicine visits, when appropriate, use HIPAA-compliant platforms.

How we're funded

Participating providers and telehealth partners pay for advertising and patient-connection services, as described in our Advertising Disclosure. It has no influence on clinical decisions. We don't store medical records or payment information.
